Flying with Royal Air Maroc
Commonly referred to as RAM, Royal Air Maroc is Morroco's largest airline and the country's official national carrier. The airline which is owned by the government of Morocco has headquarters in Casablanca and operates a domestic network throughout the country, as well as international services covering Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. As of July 2014, Royal Air Maroc now offers flights to over 90 destinations, 56 of which are international. The airline's fleet of 53 aircraft also flies to 17 cities within Morocco and 11 cities in France, in addition to 12 other countries across Europe, 24 in Africa, 3 in the Americas and 2 in the Middle East. Charter flights that include Hajj services are also provided by the company who operate under the slogan “The Wings Of Morocco”. In 2013 over 5.6 million passengers flew with Royal Air Moroc.

Moroccan regulations concerning air travel declares that any person wishing to enter Morocco must be in possession of a valid passport issued by the state of which they are a citizen. As such, many flights will require passport information during check-in.
During the check-in process, passengers may select the seat in which they would like to sit in during the flight.
Online check-in for Royal Air Maroc flights is not mandatory and no additional fee will be incurred by those wishing to check-in at the airport terminal.
Cabin luggage allowance
In the cabin, passengers are entitled to 1 piece of hand luggage of which the sum of bag’s three dimensions is no greater than 115cm.
The maximum weight of cabin luggage is 10kg.
Laptops are permitted in the cabin and are not considered as hand baggage.
Liquids and gels, such as skin or hair care products and cosmetics, are allowed in hand luggage, provided they are stored in individual containers no larger than 100ml and kept in a zip lock bag.
Checked baggage allowance
Each passenger of a Royal Air Maroc flight is entitled to 1 piece of baggage no greater than 158cm in size. Passengers flying to Brazil may carry two pieces no larger than 300cm.
The maximum weight for baggage being stored in the hold is 23kg or 32kg for flights to Brazil.
Passengers flying to the USA, Canada, Africa, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon or Brazil are entitled to place 2 pieces of baggage in the hold, while all other destinations are restricted to 1
Additional baggage allowance may be purchased from the airline with the prices varying depending on the flight’s destination.
Infants aged less than 2 years are also entitled to one item of checked luggage weighing no more than 10kg.
Sports equipment weighing no more than 23kg (32kg for flights to Brazil) and no greater than 158cm (300cm for flights to Brazil) in size can also be stored in the hold.
