Philippine Airlines operate a network of over 30 destinations within the Philippines, and 36 overseas destinations across Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, North America and Europe. Philippine Airlines earned recognition for its progress as one of Asia's leading airlines by being named "Airline Turnaround of the Year" in 2006 and 2007 by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation. In 2007, the airline was named as one of the world's top airlines in terms of passenger kilometres travelled, with over 16 million flown for 21 million available seat kilometres, and an average load factor of 76 percent. These figures, plus the airline’s commitment to improving their already high standards of service, show that Philippine Airlines is once again establishing itself as a major player in Asia’s aviation industry.

Online check-in

Online check-in for Philippine Airlines flights is available for all domestic and international services except for flights from Xiamen, China and Jinjiang, China. This service is available from 24 hours up to 1 hour of the flight’s departure.
Online check-in and travel on a Philippine Airlines flight is only possible for passengers that hold a valid booking reference and an up to date passport.
Passengers checking in online may select their preferred seat for the flight.
Passengers who purchase tickets from eDreams are also able make use of the airline’s online check-in service.
It is also possible to check-in at the airport terminal for all Philippine Airlines flights. Some destinations will charge a small fee for this service.

Cabin luggage allowance

Each passenger is allowed 1 piece of carry-on baggage small enough to be placed in the overhead bin or under the passenger seat of the aircraft cabin with a maximum dimension 115cm³.
The maximum weight of cabin luggage is 7kg on all Philippine Airlines flights.
Each passenger is entitled to 1 piece of cabin luggage plus either a small handbag or laptop that may be carried on board without being subjected to any extra costs. An infant may also be allowed 1 fully collapsible stroller, carrying basket or car seat subject to availability of space.

Checked baggage allowance

Passengers flying with Philippine Airlines are entitled to 2 pieces of checked baggage on all international flights. No one item of baggage can be larger than 158cm. Infants without a booked seat are entitled to 1 item of baggage no larger than 115cm.
The total weight allowance for all checked baggage can be no greater than 46kg per passenger, with no one bag heavier than 23kg. This allowance can be increased to 64kg (32kg per bag) for a fee. Infants without a booked seat have a free baggage allowance of 1 item weighing no more than 10kg.
Excess baggage allowance, which also covers sports equipment greater in size or weight than the defined specifications, can be purchased in advance when booking your ticket. The price of this is determined according to the additional weight and size needed.
