Qantas ticket on Emirates flight - very good airline Dubai Airport one of the best.
Very efficient!!
Very good
Return Flights very full (emirates EK19 9th dec 2018)... crying babies and infants everywhere ... why do we not have a babies and infant section ? Several screamed for 75% of the journey and as they were scattered the entire plane was kept awake . Two solo male travelers were sandwiched in a central 4seat block between a husband and wife with twin babies ... one parent on each isle seat and them in the middle with bassinets !! One of them asked to be relocated and was told the flight was full and so it was unlikely but he would try his best ... he did nothing ... the gent asked him again and he said no seats available.. the gent pointed to one and the attendant said” oh ok then if you like “... why had he not looked?... the same male flight attendant I reported that my seat had no working USB port .. he promised to come and see if he could fix it ! To my mind it was known to be non functioning as all the non-aisle seats had a second USB port which glowed and worked .... no aisle seats had this second option ... the attendant promised to come and try his best but never appeared .... I suspect he knew the problem still promised and then non delivery/ignored the passenger .... candor and honesty would have been nice ... I felt fobbed off and ignored.
It's been a number of years since I flew with Qantas and now I know why. Most of the staff were less than attentive and made you feel like you were inconveniencing them with your presence. Also a lot of the staff met in the food prep area closed the blinds and proceeded to have personal conversations which included an insane amount of swearing and a discussion of issues that were incredibly inappropriate....especially with young children being seated nearby.
Bit of a shambles on Qantas' behalf. Meant to fly at 8.40am it was delayed until 12.30pm. This meant we missed our connecting flight to Sydney. They put us on the next one out of Perth at no extra cost which was great. But this meant we lost out on our hotel we had booked and ongoing travel arrangements the next day. So we had to book all these things again and pay for both. When we checked our ticket we were actually put on a new flight out at 1pm due to our connecting flight time we think. This isn't even mentioning the fact that the airplane we boarded in Port Hedland the intercom was broken so staff had us board a hot plane for an hour even though they knew it wasn't working. We only managing to get on the next flight out (10 mins later) because we had a connection to catch. Other wise I don't think we would have got out of Port Hedland that day.
