Eastern Airways is a British airline based in the north east of England. Eastern Airways carries an average of 800,000 passengers per year to 19 locations across the United Kingdom, as well as destinations in Italy and Norway. Eastern Airways fleet of 29 aircraft is made up of British Aerospace Jetstream turboprops, Saab jet props and Embraer jet aircraft. Online check-in
Eastern Airways does not currently offer an online check-in service. As soon as your booking with Eastern Airways has been confirmed, passengers will be supplied with a 6 character booking reference, which must then be presented at the airport terminal along with a valid form of identification.
Eastern Airways will accept the following forms of ID for domestic travel: passport, credit or debit card with the passenger’s name, driver’s license or birth certificate. For international flights only a valid passport will be accepted. No additional fees are charged for passengers checking in at the airport terminal.
Cabin luggage allowance
On most Eastern Airways flights the maximum dimensions for cabin baggage are 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.
The maximum weight of cabin luggage is 10kg on all Eastern Airways flights.
Each passenger is entitled to 2 pieces of cabin luggage. On some flights in which a smaller aircraft is used, only small pieces of cabin baggage which can be stowed under the seat in front may be taken on board. All other pieces are placed in the aircraft hold upon boarding and returned to passengers outside the aircraft immediately upon disembarkation.
In addition to hand luggage, the following items are allowed in the aircraft cabin: handbags, briefcases, umbrellas, walking sticks, a bouquet of flowers, laptop computers, cameras, video cameras, magazines, newspapers, books, baby food, a carrycot, crutches and bag with Duty Free purchases. Passengers are not required to have these items weighed, checked in or labelled.
Checked baggage allowance
Passengers flying Eastern Airways are entitled to 1 piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 15kg. All baggage in excess of this weight will be subject to excess baggage charges of £6.00 per kilo. Due to health and safety regulations, the airline is unable to accept any single piece of luggage weighing more than 32kg.
1 collapsible pushchair is acceptable in addition to the normal baggage allowance.
Sports equipment such as skis and golf clubs may be checked into the hold provided that it meets the airline’s weight restrictions. Some aircrafts may be unable to accommodate certain items of sporting equipment.
