This dark sand beach features exceptionally clear waters making it the ideal spot for divers and snorkelling enthusiasts. Located in a small cove not far from Motril, it is not very easy to find however, this only adds to the charm of this lovely beach.
Located in Almuñécar, the horseshoe-shaped beach of La Herradura is conveniently sheltered from the wind and features much finer sand than that can be found on any other beach on the Costa Tropical. It's perfect for practising a range of watersports and some great restuarants feature making it great for a day out on the beach.
This pretty beach, located nearby the lovely town of Salobreña, seems to be suspended in time. White sands and transparent waters feature with a peaceful atmosphere reigning in Playa de la Guardia.
The blue flag beach of Carchuna is approximately 3km long and never really feels full despite the crowds of sunseekers that gather there during the summer. Like most of the coast in Granada, it features a mixture of sand and gravel, is easily accessible and has a range of services for the convenience of beach-goers.
This small beach is hidden between two hills nearby to Almuñécar. A peaceful atmosphere reigns and excellent restaurants feature there. Surrounded by sugarcane plantations and lots of palm trees, Playa de Cabria can be found on the way to other hidden beaches including Playa de Curumbico and Barranco de Enmedio.
Cantarriján Beach is located in the westernmost point of the Costa Tropical. It comprises the perfect place for nudists but also those who are happy with keeping their swimming costume on. It is situated within the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Area thus a wonderful natural environment and transparent, blue waters feature.
