This is one of the most popular beaches amongst families as it conveniently features all kind of services, so it’s impossible to get bored! At Cala Galdana visitors can hire a scooter and take a tour of the coast, or simply rent a hammock and spend all day relaxing. For extreme sports enthusiasts, this is a great location for enjoying paragliding or jet skiing.
This small fishing village comprises one of the most popular places amongst tourists and is famous for its stretch of typical Mediterranean-style white houses. The nearest beach to Binibeca is Binibeca Nou, which is ideal for enjoying a family day out giving that it conveniently features a wide range of services. It’s very sheltered, boasts beach bars and it’s possible to hire hammocks and beach umbrellas, so just relax and enjoy yourself!
Located in the municipality of Ferreríes, Cala Mitjana is famous for crystal clear waters that extend right up to the lush green surrounding forests. It is a very popular beach amongst hikers and ramblers as a 1 kilometre walk is required to get there. It is very easy to access Cala Mitjaneta, a smaller virgin beach located nearby.
Cala Turqueta is accessed by walking along the cliffs that separate it from Son Saura beach and passing through the rocks. Visitors can enjoy the sun whilst relaxing on the stunning white sand and admiring the approaching boats. Alternatively, the surrounding pine forest offers some welcome shade. Despite all the tourists Cala Turqueta has remained unspoilt. If you have plans to go, don’t forget to take water and food as there are no beach bars.
A long walk amongst pine trees and across wooden walkways will finally lead you to beautiful Cala Macarella. It comprises a spacious clearing featuring dazzling white sand which gently merges with the turquoise blue waters of the sea. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip, head to the beach bar or have a small picnic under the welcoming shade of the trees. Finally, a small track leading to the other side of the cliffs will take keen explorers to lovely Cala Macaralleta.
Cala Pregonda is like visiting a beach on Mars with its unique red sand and transparent waters, totally different from the other beautiful beaches in Menorca. Maybe it is for this reason that Cala Pregonda has featured on the cover of two Mike Oldfield albums. Visitors can go snorkeling or swim to the islets located nearby and jump into the sea from the highest point if they fancy a bit of fun! There aren’t any beach bars so make sure that you take some water and food with you.
