Two unique places across from Papagayo Park, with what are probably the best views of the port area. Welcome to Hornos and Hornitos, two of Acapulco's most popular beaches. The tranquil waters and soft sand make them just right for taking a walk or playing with your children. It's also a fishing area, and you can practice water sports or even parasailing here.
Located on the east part of the bay, this is the most extensive beach in Acapulco, as well as one of the most visually appealing. With one part that has strong waves and another with calmer waves, this beach is great either for water sports, like windsurfing, or simply basking in the sand by the seaside. Perfect for a holiday where you want to keep your options open. It turns out you CAN have your cake and eat it!
Besides being one of Acapulco's most inviting beaches, La Condesa Beach is also adjacent to several service providers and restaurants, and you can dine on gourmet lobster at some of them. This beach has a wonderful, vibrant feel about it, and at some places at or near the beach you will find people dancing, and playing a variety of sports, such as sailing, windsurfing, jetskiing, or even bungy jumping.
Caltea Beach and Caletilla Beach are located southwest of the city, in the area known as Old Acapulco, and they're two of the most peaceful beaches in the area. Mainly this is due to the fact that Roqueta Island is located directly in front of them, which absorbs much of the current coming in from the Pacific, thus protecting its two wards. An ideal spot for worry-free swimming and therefore also a favourite of the locals.
What makes a beach unforgettable? Surely a nice sunset, yes? Well, at Pie de la Cuesta Beach you can admire a spectacular sunset. Just get a hammock or a chair and prepare to be amazed. This beach is north of Acapulco, separating the Pacific Ocean from Coyuca Lagoon, and it's the perfect place to make an unforgettable memory.
Barra Vieja Beach is an extremely extensive beach and is great for taking a walk on foot or going on a horseback ride. It's 27 kilometres away from Acapulco in a unique area where the Papagayo River and Tres Palos Lagoon unite and then flow into the Pacific Ocean. So if you'd like to get away from the city and immerse yourself in natural environment that allows you to unwind and take it easy for a couple days, then we would definitely suggest this beach.
