Nature in its purest form, the best way to describe Praia da Barreta one of the less popular and therefore one of the best preserved beaches in the Algarve. Praia da Barreta comprises an authentic paradise. It extends over 11 km and is protected by a series of dunes which guarantee the survival of the typical plant species in the area. It you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city then this is the beach for you.

Stillness, blue waters and sparkling white sand feature in Praia do Barril, a small natural refuge located in the heart of the Ria Formoda Natural Park. You can reach the beach on foot however, if you fancy adding a little fun to your day then you can take a ride on the tourist train that runs from Pedras D'el Rei to Praia do Barill several times a day. Children will especially love the experience!.

Praia Falésia means "beach of the cliff" and that's exactly what you'll find there; a 6km beach of golden sands hidden behind a large rock. You can lay down your towel and enjoy the gentle sounds of the clear and cool waters just inviting you for a swim. Finally, a spectacular sunset awaits you at the end of the day.

Praia da Cova Redonda was voted Europe's 2nd most beautiful beach in the European Best Destinations 2014 rankings. It is popular amongst many for the calm waters it features, the mild temperatures and the unique rock formations. At first glance, access to the beach looks a little complicated because you have to walk down a rocky path but you will soon see that it's well worth the effort.

Praia de Marinha is an authentic paradise for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts thanks to the incredibly transparent waters. It features in the Michelin Guide's list of the world's 100 most beautiful beaches and was also awarded the "Praia Dourada" prize by the Portuguese Minister for Environment in 1998, in recognition of the beaches unique and characteristic natural features. The explorers and adventurers amongst you will love this beach as it boasts some of the best caves on the Portuguese coast.

It is considered one of the most vibrant beaches in the Algarve and, truth be told, at Praia da Rocha visitors will always find something to do, day and night. Beside the beach you will also find all kinds of hotels, restaurants and bars, perfect for cooling down when it gets a little hot!
