It features in the Michelin Guide's list of the world's 100 most beautiful beaches and was also awarded the "Praia Dourada" prize by the Portuguese Minister for Environment in 1998, in recognition of the beaches unique and characteristic natural features. The explorers and adventurers amongst you will love this beach as it boasts some of the best caves on the Portuguese coast.
