The best beaches in Koh Samui

Located on the east coast of Koh Samui, Chaweng Beach is a beautiful 7km white sand beach. The water is calm and shallow, and it makes it an ideal beach for families. There are small islands nearby and offer a great excuse for a kayak tour with mask and flippers. There is also a range of restaurants, bars, shops and souvenir stalls near the beach to satisfy all your desires!

The real name of the beach is Haad Thong Takian, and it looks exactly like a postcard... Thin white sand, crystalline waters and gigantic palm trees shade the coast where you can enjoy this idyllic setting to relax in the sun. And if you'd like to do something fun, put on your fins, a snorkelling mask and dive in! The Crystal Bay is the best place to go snorkelling in the island.

The Taling Ngam Beach is secluded and definitely the best preserved of Koh Samui. Lamai is almost as popular as Chaweng, but Lamai is a bit more calm and wild than its neighbour. Quiet and romantic, the beautiful beach of Bophut is nothing but a two kilometre white sand beach lined with coconut palm trees. Not far from the famous Big Buddha, it attracts mostly families and couples looking for a quiet beach to spend the day. For lunch, head to the nearby fishing village where you will find a multitude of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes!
